»Our Facility
Located in the heart of Seattle's University
District, our church facility serves both as our church home and as a tool
for mission and outreach. The building includes a large sanctuary, a chapel,
several social halls, two child care centers and offices.
The
Sanctuary
The sanctuary
will seat 450 people on the main floor, plus 150 in the balcony. The center
aisle is 90 feet long, with 19 rows of pews. Generally, a gathering of
approximately 250 guests will fill the front half of the sanctuary.
There
is a pipe organ and a grand piano.
Harrington
Memorial Chapel
The chapel will
seat 75 - 80 people. The aisle is 35 feet long with eight rows of chairs
that can provide flexible seating. The communion table is six feet wide. The
chapel has a small pipe organ.
Scheyer
Library
Located at the
south end of the building on the main floor, the Scheyer Library houses an
eclectic collection of nearly 4,000 books, for both adults and children, to
enhance spiritual inquiry and growth.

Our Child
Care Centers
As part of the
mission of the church, two childcare programs are offered to the community
at large.
UCC Child Learning and Care Center provides full-time and part time
daycare for children from ages 2 1/2 to kindergarten. The Center is open
from 7:15 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This full-service center
provides the long-term childcare that many parents and caregivers need.
Trettin
Drop-In Preschool offers a unique drop-in facility that can
accommodate up to 35 children, ages 2 to kindergarten. This flexible
program allows parents and caregivers to drop off children for fun and
activities for up to 4 hours without committing to a full schedule of
childcare.
The Child Care Center and Trettin Drop-In Preschool have
a combined total capacity of 91 children from age 2 to kindergarten age (5
or 6). The programs employ 18 full- and part-time staff. The goal of the
both programs is to provide quality early care and education for all
children who attend.
