Membership

To understand "membership" more fully, "Inquirers" classes are offered throughout the year for anyone interested in learning more about our church. New members come from a variety of religious backgrounds. Many are drawn to UCC in response to the fact that we encourage questions about religion and theology. Our questioning spirit is balanced by our rich heritage and history -- which we want to share with everyone.

If you have attended University Congregational UCC for a while and are thinking about becoming a member, talk with one of the pastors about it on Sunday, or give one of them a call. Any of the four ministers can provide information about what it means to be a member and whether membership at this church is right for you.

Parking

Parking is available in church lots anytime while you are on site to attend worship or for church-related business. There is, unfortunately, not enough parking for people to leave their car to go downtown or elsewhere in the University District.

If you are parking in a church lot on any day except Sunday, you will need to sign in on the parking sheet near the office, inside the building. Note your stall number and your license plate number as you leave the lot so that you can write them on the sign-in sheet.

Be sure to observe the parking restrictions and limits on 16th Ave. NE — cars parked there overtime or illegally are also subject to being ticketed and/or towed.

Please use Lot C (the corner of NE 45th Street and 15th Ave. NE) only if there is no parking available in Lot A (directly across the church on 16th Ave. NE, or elsewhere), and remember to sign in.

Additional details about parking on Sundays are included in our Welcome Kit.
