New Ways
and Forms for Worship Janetta Cravens Boyd, pastor at University Christian Church, and Peter Ilgenfritz, pastor at University Congregational United Church of Christ has invited us to take part in exploring some new ways and forms for community worship. Please join us at 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the last Sunday of every month from January through May in the lounge at University Christian Church, 4731 15th Ave. NE. The services are child friendly and require no prior experience with church or religious background. Bring a friend and join us as we learn and explore together how to deepen our relationship with God—and God with us—in new, fun and creative ways. March 28: a service for Community; April 25: a service for environmental justice, and May 30: a service for healing. The services are child-friendly and require no prior church experience. |

Class to Discuss Choices for Sustainable Living Join us to discuss the meaning of sustainability, connections between lifestyle choices and our impact on the Earth, and steps we could take to move towards ecologically sustainable lifestyles and communities. The series of classes will be held on Sunday morning, Feb. 14 through March 28 at 9 a.m. and will be facilitated by the Sacred Earth Matters group: Mary Ellen Smith, Jeff Hancock, Carol Nelson and others. We will use materials from the Northwest Earth Institute and Earth Ministry to deepen our understanding and increase our commitment to better care for God’s creation. There will be a $20 charge for the textbook for the class. The topics for the seven sessions are: A Call to Sustainability; Ecological Principles; Buying; Food; Communities; Business and Economy; Visions of Sustainability |

Save the Date for UCHA Dinner, "Look to the Rainbow" UCHA will hold its annual fundraising dinner on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Mountaineers at Magnuson Park. The focus will be to raise funds in order to continue and increase our work with transitional and low income housing in the Seattle area.
We will be looking for sponsors and those who contribute will be named in the program. We are so grateful for the past support that has been given for our work with various housing programs such as the Lin House, Plymouth Healing Community and Sortun Court.
