Pacific Northwest UCC
Men's Retreat

The annual Pacific Northwest UCC Men's Retreat will take place the weekend of February 3-5, 2012 at Pilgrim Firs. The speaker will be Tom Colwell and the theme will be Music That Matters: Men Sharing Their Hearts. There will be a Day of Silence from February 2-3. More information is available in the narthex. Scholarships are available.

Sacred Earth Matters
The Sacred Earth Matters group is sponsoring a recycling event at our church on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot on 16th. A flyer is attached to this announcement that you can print out and hopefully tell all of your neighbors about so we can advertise it as widely as possible. Mwanzo Proud Farmers
Loyce Ong'udi will make another presentation about Mwanzo Proud Farmers on Sunday, February 5, 2012 after morning services. Since it is being arranged quickly, a space has not been settled on. Please see the events enclosure in the Sunday bulletin for up-to-the-minute information. This presentation has been requested by a number of people who were prevented from attending the last one because of the weather. Loyce will be leaving for another 3-month stay in Kenya on February 11.

Interfaith Advocacy Day
Uniting Hearts and Minds: Raising Revenue for the
Common Good
is the theme of Interfaith Advocacy Day this year. Come join other people of faith in advocating for the resources that create community, security, and dignity for all. University Congregational Housing Association (UCHA) will hold its annual fundraising dinner on Friday, March 10, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. again at the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) in Seattle. July 8-13, 2012. This Sacred Place. Camp is our time to hang out together in fellowship, fun, and thoughtful sharing.
